Clarence Goldie Lloyd, age 65, of Chestertown, MD, formerly of Smyrna, DE went to Heaven on Friday, August 4, 2017. He passed peacefully at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, MD with his loving family and friends by his side.

He was born on June 25, 1952 in Dover, DE.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Mr. Lloyd retired from Metal Masters of Clayton, DE after 25 years of service.

Goldie loved taking his dogs, Snickers “Devil Dog” and Missy Belle fishing, the Philadelphia Eagles, watching professional wrestling, and his country music, especially Johnny Horton.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Slover.

Goldie is survived by his father, Earl Lloyd and his wife Patsy of Camden, DE; his wife of 39 years, Sandy; two sons, Kenny Lloyd and his wife Erin of Milford, DE and John T. Lloyd of Chestertown, MD (formerly of Smyrna, DE); four brothers, Earl Lloyd and his wife Ronda of Chestertown, MD, Ronald Lloyd and his wife Teresa of Camden, DE, Tony Lloyd and his wife Adrienne of Orlando, FL and Raughley Lloyd of Hartly, DE; two sisters, Brenda Scheffield and her husband Paul of Winter Haven FL and Marilyn Stokes of Newark, DE; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be privately held at a later date.

In Goldie’s memory, the family requests contributions to Compass Regional Hospice, 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617.
