Janet P. Attix, 75
Clayton – Janet P. Attix passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 5, 2018.
She retired from the University of Delaware in 1994 as a Graphics Communicator. She was a long time member of the American Legion, Post 14 of Smyrna, Delaware and the VFW Post 8801 of Smyrna, Delaware. Her favorite past time was spending time with her grandchildren, playing pool and cards.
She was born September 10th, 1942 to the late Raymond Morris Lowman and Grace (Graham) Lowman.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis W. Taylor; her second husband, Gilbert M. Attix, Sr.; her brother, Raymond Lowman; and her sister, Nancy A. Jester.
She is survived by two children of whom loved her dearly, Dale Taylor and his wife Vicky, and Pam Berry and her companion Jack Gearhart; her four step-children, Gilbert M. Attix, II and his wife Darla, Earl Attix and his friend, Kathy Beisner, Gary Attix and his wife Tammy Newell, and Teri Mannering and her husband Mike. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren all of whom will miss her; and many nieces and nephews.
Janet was blessed with many good friends and a very close-knit family. She will be greatly missed by her brother, Richard Lowman and his wife Deanna; and extended family.
She also leaves a very special friend, Owen Cole; and her beloved dog, Bella.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11 am at Greensboro Cemetery in Greensboro, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, Delaware 19713 or to American Legion, Post 14, 107 W. Glenwood Ave., Smyrna, DE 19977.
