Doris Clark, age 89, of Smyrna, Delaware, went home to be with the Lord and her children on Monday, October 8, 2018.
A native Delawarean, she was born on September 16, 1929, the daughter of the late Herman and Margaret Ford of Dover, Delaware.
Doris retired after 30 years of service for the Delaware Home for the Chronically Ill, where she worked as Floor Supervisor in the Candee Building.
Doris loved her church and her church family of Smyrna Wesleyan Church. Doris was also an avid Eagles and Phillies fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, John Clark, Herman Clark, and Bonnie Clark; and her sister, Frances Wooters; and her brother, Herman Clark, Jr.
Doris is survived by her nieces, Barbara Clifton and her husband Robert of Newark, DE, and Patsy Moss and her husband Bill of Pennsylvania; her aunt, Audrey Taylor of Seaford, DE; and many extended family members. She is also survived by her dear friends, Mary Agnes and Little Mary Brinsfield.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Smyrna Wesleyan Church located at 433 W. Commerce Street in Smyrna.
