Helen passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2019. Born in Virginia to Perry and Bessie Mae Short, Helen loved nature. She particularly saw the wonderment in beautifully shaped shade trees, colorful flowers, billowing clouds, and all of God’s creatures.

Helen was a homemaker for most of her life, but later in life, she and her family were very proud of her accomplishment at becoming a Certified Nurses’ Assistant. Helen worked for a period of time at the nursing home Westminster Village where she was well loved and respected by fellow staff members and especially the patients. Helen was most proud of her children and grandchildren and considered them her greatest accomplishments.
