Jacqueline Sue Slaughter, age 46, of Smyrna, Delaware passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her home.
Jackie was born on January 5, 1972 in Dover, the daughter of Debbie Hess of Smyrna.
Jackie worked for many years at AA Towing of Little Creek as an Assistant Manager.
She was a devoted mother and loving homemaker who loved animals, shopping and being at the beach.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Herbie W. Slaughter, Jr.; her maternal grandmother, Virginia W. Pooler; and her step-father, Ken Hess.
In addition to her mother, Jackie is survived by her two daughters, Danielle J. Slaughter of Georgetown, and Stacie M. Martinez of Frederica; her brother, John Willey, III of Smyrna; her mother and father-in-law, Herb and Hilda Slaughter of Smyrna; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 2pm to 3pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 3pm. Burial will be privately held.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting monetary contributions to Faries Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
