Paul Carroll Baker, age 70, of Smyrna, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2018.
Mr. Baker was born on June 19, 1948 in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of the late Robert and Betty Baker.
He worked for 20 years for The Middletown DelDot Yard and drove a school bus for many years for Appoquinimink School District.
Paul was a Life Member of the Townsend Fire Company and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, deer hunting, and collecting model tractors. Paul grew up on a farm in Townsend and still enjoyed farming and the farming lifestyle his whole life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa Baker; his two daughters, Jaimie Baker of Smyrna, and Paula Baker (Walt Alberts) also of Smyrna; five grandchildren, Buddy, Brian, Walter, Jimmie, and Cheyenne; and extended family.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 5 to 7pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 7pm.
Burial will be private.
