Russell Ray Revel, age 33, of Kenton, Delaware, passed away peacefully at Bayhealth Dover on Friday, March 16, 2018.
He was born September 12, 1984 in Dover, Delaware, the son of the late Wayne O. Revel and to Donna Revel, who resides in Kenton.
Russell was a 2003 graduate of Smyrna High School. During those years, he was on the football, baseball, and wrestling teams. He also enjoyed playing baseball for Smyrna Clayton Little League and Pop Warner Football.
Russell became interested in masonry work from the early age of 16, starting as a laborer and working his way to become a Brick Layer for Brick Layers Union, Local 1 of PA/DE. He also enjoyed working for his friends, Hufford’s Construction and Blisard Construction.
Russell enjoyed spending time with family and friends skiing, boating, fishing, camping, drinking, and having a good time.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Adams.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Elaine Adams; his paternal grandparents, Russell and Shirley Revel; his brothers, Wayne Revel, Jamie Revel (Gabrielle), and Matthew Revel; his nephews, Cash and Rocky; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
