We are pleased to announce the addition of Rev. Scot
McClymont to Faries Funeral Home in Smyrna. Scot is the Coordinator of
After-Care, which is a new way to continue to care for the families who have
lost loved ones at no extra cost.
Faries will have greater ability to offer continued support
●Answering questions about death to children,
●Helping individuals and families cope with grief,
●Connecting families to community groups, resources, or
local professional counselors,
●Pastoral Care for those who may not have a church home.
Rev. McClymont comes to Faries Funeral Home with many years
of multi-generational Pastoral experience including helping with children,
youth, and young adults. He was the Youth Director at Asbury United Methodist
Church (UMC) in Smyrna (2003-2007), Pastor at Kenton UMC (2005-2013), Director
of Young People’s Ministry for the Peninsula-Delaware Conference of the UMC
(2013-2016), Chaplain of Wesley College (2015-2016), Pastor of Zion and White’s
Chapel UMC, Milton, (2016), and is currently launching 4 The World Ministries,
Inc., a new non-denominational church in Smyrna.
Scot has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Delaware
State University (2011), a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Wesley
Theological Seminary (2014), and completed one unit of Chaplaincy at Christiana
Care Health Systems in Wilmington (2013).
He and his wife, Dawn, have lived in the Smyrna-Clayton area
since 2007. They have two sons, Anthony and Evan, and two dogs, Buster and
