The Bishop Elect Rev. Dr. George Class-Peters aka Paapa, Daddy P., 56, of Smyrna De (formerly of Queens, NY) hailed from Cape Coast Ghana, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2018.
Rev. Dr. Class-Peters was born on September 23,1961 in Takoradi, Ghana. He was the son of the late John Class-Peter and the late Madame Georgina Victoria Dougan. He graduated from Fijai Secondary School. From Fijai he pursued a degree in agricultural sciences from Kwadaso Agricultural College in Kumasi. After graduating, he secured a position as an agri-science teacher at Archbishop Porter Girls Secondary School.
Upon arrival in the United States, he earned a BA in Political Science and later obtained a Masters of Public Administration with a specialization in Hospital Administration from Long Island University. Immediately after his graduation, he interned at Forte Tryon Nursing Home as administrator in training. He had a passion to help humanity. In 2002, he founded Feed My Lambs Global Ministries, a nonprofit organization to assist the disabled, orphaned, homeless, and poverty-stricken families in Ghana, West Africa. Through Feed My Lambs, he adopted 40 orphans and ensured the completion of their secondary school education.
After moving to Smyrna in 2009, Rev. Dr. Class-Peters founded Calvary Overcomers Ministries, now House of Praise Chapel Intl. He was a community man. Rev. Dr. Class-Peters knew many of his neighbors and often visited their homes to offer prayer. As an active member of the Smyrna community, he also served as a substitute teacher. He was a great father, teacher, man of faith, mentor, husband, brother, and friend.
Rev. Dr. Class-Peters is survived by his wife Mrs. Grace Class-Peters R.N, his four children Ms. Georgina Class-Peters M.S., Ms. Georgette Class-Peters, Mr. George Class-Peters Jr., and Mr. Georgine Class-Peters all of Smyrna De. He will be dearly missed by his family, church members, neighbors, community, and friends.

All services will be held at Powercity Church, located at 115 E. Glenwood Avenue, Smyrna.
Burial Saturday, September 22 at Holy Cross Cemetery Dover, DE
Thanksgiving Service Sunday, September 23, 2018. 11:00am-2:00pm at the Smyrna High School Auditorium.
