Roy L. Jarman, Sr., 73, of Smyrna, Delaware passed away Friday, August 2nd with loving family by his side.
Roy was born and raised in Smyrna by the late Harry E. Jarman, Sr. and Marie (Richardson) Jarman, being one of 10 children.
He worked on the family farm while attending Smyrna High School where he played the trumpet in the band.
He later became a car salesman retiring from Willis Chevrolet in Smyrna.
Roy enjoyed holiday gatherings with family, “Easy Listening” music, watching football and baseball, and going out to dinner at his favorite restaurants.
He is survived by his devoted wife and companion of 25 years, Sue; his little dog Bear; his sons, Roy Jarman, Jr. and Garrett Jarman; his daughters, Audra Jarman and Stacey Jarman; his sisters, Maryanne Larrimore, Vivian Helm, Arlene Ward, and Joan Middleton; his brothers, Donald Jarman, Tommy Jarman and Jerry Jarman; his three granddaughters and two grandsons; one great granddaughter; one great grandson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 11am to 1pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 1pm. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna.
